Doors and trim have begun to appear all over the house as installation progresses. After going to 2 Home Depots on several occasions to get doors and trim (they seemed to be out of stock at one or the other), visible progress has started to take place in the house. Here’s some snapshots:
This is the new trim I had mentioned in an earlier post (Above). Since I didn’t have the ceiling height of the example I mentioned in a previous post, I decided to make the wall board slightly shorter. We had some tricky points on making it work on the inperfect walls, but I think it’s looking rather sharp.
We went with a simple craftsman style trim on the windows and doors and chose a door with a “Santa Fe” style. Since most modern builder-grade homes don’t use window trim, I thought by trimming out the windows in this house we could give it a more traditional charm.
